Beetroot is one of the newest additions to our rotation at Ditton Farm, but it’s already earned us a national reputation. As a UK beetroot supplier, we work closely with food brands, packers, and processors who rely on consistent size, colour, and quality.

Grown on light, well-drained soils across our Herefordshire blocks, this crop is managed with precision from seed to harvest. Using GPS-guided drills, targeted nutrition, and staggered harvesting windows, we produce precision-grown beetroot that meets the demands of modern processing, without compromising on flavour or appearance.

We grow beetroot under contract for selected UK partners, including Baxters. Using bed-forming, precision seeding and controlled irrigation, we deliver consistent, market-grade root structure.

Our focus is on:

We adjust our drill setup by centring the staggered head and reducing planting on outer rows to improve light penetration and side-crop quality. Reliable water storage is essential for consistent beetroot growth and finish throughout the season. The full crop utilised from 25mm–100mm, minimising waste (25mm used for pickling).
